I think what Albright actually does really specifically well is integrate experiencial learning into the classroom and into the curricula.
The science programs, do labs. Fashion programs have shows--
Music Industry study majors get this really cool opportunity to be a part of Lyon Records, and we cover basically the whole entire structure of a record label.
As the upcoming program director of WXAC, the radio station on campus, I have to learn how to communicate with other promoters, other organizations, other people.
It is very important for me to develop a personal relationship with the students, so that I know their strengths, and weaknesses. So that I can really push them to develop skills that in are in that regard.
We have a one on one opportunity for students to do research with faculty called our Albright Creative Research Experience. And this is an opportunity for students and faculty take a deep dive on a subject matter that interests both them. They both co-propose something to our committee, and they actually get paid to do this research over the summer.
Working 40 hours for an entire summer with individual students every day, day to day basis. We create a very strong bonds, and we get to know each other and not only as a professor and student, but also we become in a way, colleagues.
