Having a coach to lean on is probably one of the best things about coming to Albright and being a student athlete.
They assign you to a coach on the staff, you know, and they'll really meet with you one on one, talk about your academics. If you have something going on in your life, too, you can talk about that with them. They just really want you to know that the door's always open.
We have our own academic study hall, and they make sure you're there. They make sure you're lifting. They make sure like you're eating. They always provide everything for us, which is a big reason why, like I want to come here.
My favorite part of the job is seeing them grow as humans. The lessons I'm teaching within my lacrosse program, they're life lessons. They're things that are going to translate, you know, to the real world to their jobs, to their internships. In our program, we have a strict priority system. It's always family first, and then it's academics. And then it's lacrosse. And we say, you know, you have this great college experience ahead of you, whenever you want to fill in that college experience void. We have some to sport athletes. We have kids who go study abroad. Kids who work in the admissions office and our ambassadors. I mean, it's your experience, fill it, because it goes by real fast.
Your coaches are definitely going to push you when you're here, but they're never going to give you anything that you can't handle. They're going to push you to be a better person overall, but they're also going to push you to be a great athlete, but they're also going to take that extra step to care for you as well.
I want to be the best team in the nation, but I want them to enjoy the experience. And you're going to come here and you're going to enjoy this experience. You're going to work really darn hard, but it's going to be worth it because hard work pays off.
