Here at Albright, it's a small school. So our class sizes are small. So you get to know your professors.
You have an opportunity to work one on one with faculty a lot, whether it be research and advising situations and classes.
Acre stands for Albright Creative Research Experience. It's an opportunity for a student and a faculty member to work one on one in a project that the student chooses. And that is important to them, and it's a paid opportunity.
A lot of times these projects also culminate in being able to go to conferences that are more regional and even national. My claim to fame was I had an opportunity to take a student to Hawaii for a research project that we were working on around schizophrenia and psychopathology.
In addition to semester opportunities for students to go abroad and summer opportunities, we have some really carefully cultivated faculty led study abroad opportunities.
I had a professor named Matt. He essentially changed my entire life about how I saw myself, in how I work. The expectations I had coming here, I completely exceeded them. I became who I was meant to be, and that is to be a person who is telling stories through art.
